Our fees are competitive and never hidden but are disclosed up front. Due to our outstanding computer system, our staff level remains low so we have less overhead, which in turn, saves our clients money.

President/CEO

John E. Pearson, PHR, SHRM-CP

John Pearson is the CEO and President of Action Professional Outsourcing. He founded the company in 2001 after a successful career in HR and accounting at several large corporations. John is a proud graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, completing his BBA in Accounting in 1985. He also holds his certifications in PHR (Professional Human Resources) and SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional).

Originally from Santa Fe, Texas, John now calls Abilene his home. He is the proud father of two sons, one of which is married, and the other is engaged. John’s favorite new title is grandfather.

Beyond his professional commitments, John is deeply rooted in his values of community engagement. He actively supports the Narrow Gate Foundation, a non-profit organization close to his heart, where he is a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors. He also regularly supports several Abilene non-profit organizations, exemplifying his belief in giving back and making a positive impact in the community.

Chief Operating Officer

Bradley Stevens

Bradley Stevens began his journey with APO in January of 2021 as an intern while working towards his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Abilene Christian University. Throughout his time with the company, Bradley has showcased his talents and dedication, leading to him taking on a range of roles across all the services that APO provides. His hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, as he now holds the esteemed position of Chief Operations Officer at APO. Bradley’s growth within the company serves as a testament to his skill set and potential for continued success in his career.

Administrative Assistant/Reception

Becky Wilson

Becky Willson is a valued member of the APO team, having joined on September 11, 2017. In her role as Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for APO, she wears many hats and provides support across various departments. With over 25 years of marriage under her belt, Becky finds joy in spending time with her three lovely granddaughters. She takes delight in watching them play softball and tending to her flower beds. Becky’s dedication to both her work and family shines through in everything she does, making her an integral part of the APO family.

Benefits Manager

Melissa Solis-Robles

Melissa Solis-Robles brings a wealth of expertise to her role as the Benefits Specialist at Action Professional Outsourcing. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry as a General Manager and Human Resource Manager in healthcare, Melissa has honed her skills in various areas such as payroll management, recruitment, training, and financial audits. Her background includes overseeing multiple locations within the company, conducting P&L reviews, and spearheading sales and marketing initiatives. As a seasoned professional, Melissa has also served as a mentor to new general managers, showcasing her commitment to developing talent within the organization.

Bookkeeping Manager

Cheryl Duttlinger

Cheryl is a seasoned professional who joined APO in February 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financials. Her dedication to client satisfaction is evident in her work as she goes above and beyond to ensure her clients’ needs are met. Outside of the office, Cheryl finds joy in spending time with her family and friends, as well as exploring different parts of the country through travel. With a full plate that includes being a devoted spouse, mother of two children, and grandmother to twin grandsons, Cheryl’s passion for both her career and personal life shines through in all that she does.

Payroll Manager

Jon Michael Allelo

Jon Michael’s journey with APO began in February of 2023, where he now holds the position of payroll account manager. Hailing from Abilene, Jon Michael is a local talent, having graduated from Abilene High in 2018. His academic pursuits led him to Abilene Christian University before transferring to Hardin Simmons. At both universities, Jon Michael showcased his versatility as a student-athlete. He majored in Accounting and minored in Sports Science, demonstrating a keen interest in both fields. With his unique blend of skills and experiences, Jon Michael brings a valuable perspective to his role at APO.

Payroll Asst. Manager/HR Generalist

Brandon Homer

From intern to head of the HR department, Brandon Homer’s journey at Action Professional Outsourcing is nothing short of inspiring. Starting as an intern during his final semester at Abilene Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Brandon’s dedication and hard work quickly propelled him through the ranks. Joining the APO family as a payroll clerk, he showcased his skills and leadership potential, eventually being entrusted with the important role of heading the Human Resources department. Brandon’s story serves as a testament to the opportunities for growth and advancement that exist within the company, rewarding talent and commitment with well-deserved promotions.
